Our little miracle

After a long awaited arrival she came in just a few short hours. Shandee Shelton was born on Thursday 7:15 am August 15th. She weighed 8 lbs 12 ounces 20 1/2 inches of perfection. Her story is one I will never forgot we were going to go natural with a midwife for the first time after having epidurals with all 3 others. I have never experienced contractions so after waking up at 4:30 to uncomfort I felt she was coming that day but had no idea have fast. I was feeling them every 10 mins or so but I would just try and go back to sleep after finally getting up at 6 20 I got in the bath and told Scott I think I am having contractions I told him I didn't think they were close enough he said they were every 5 minutes almost 1 minute long. I told him I am fine you should just go to work and I will call you when you need to come get me and we will go to the center. He refused and said I think you are going to have her sooner then you think. I was sure it might take all day but that changed quickly. I went down stairs and started making Cam breakfast when the pain became so intense I was shaking and crying saying I can not do this. I attempted to call the mid wife after I got a hold of her I said, "oh my gosh I think I am in Labor she said who is this describe what is happening. I said I am bleeding and the head is coming, here is my husband Scott kept saying hurry we need to get in the car. I said I can't make it there is no way I can get to the car. I said something is coming out. Sure enough Scott looked and said to the midwife I think I see the head. Scott calmly told me to lay down and I replied I can't he helped lay me down on the bathroom floor. After only a few minutes the water came out and then the baby. Scott and I witnessed a miracle our little angel sent from heaven was delivered here at our home with the help of the lord. There was no complications Scott lady our little princess on my stomach and got a blanket to keep us warm the cord was still attached and then he delivered the placenta. I was so scared and in shock. I just kept saying to Shandee I LOVE you I LOVE you over and over. I was nervous to look since the cord was still attached. I remember wondering when the pain would end. The midwife got there about a half hour later and clamped the cord and Scott cut it off. I am so blessed and realize the Lord was with us every step of the way from the first blessing I received from my amazing husband until the last blessing I received the night before she was born. I am so grateful she is in our family and that Heavenly Father has blessed us with 4 amazing children of God. I pray they will always know of my testimony and Love I have for the gospel. I believe in Miracles and that I have witnessed many in my life. I know the Lord knows what is best and sees the big picture.
